Created by fitness entrepreneur, Alister Rollins, MoveGB has now grown to a number of cities and towns across the country. Having previously founded and run The Retention People, which provided customer experience management software, Rollins discovered his passion for growing the health and fitness industry. Rollins could see that people needed more access, flexibility and variety when it came to fitness - MoveGB was born.

MoveGB is based on the science of what keeps us active and contributes to living a healthy and happy life, a science which is backed by studies from Sport England. They show that, when consumers have greater variety and flexibility, then they are far less likely to fall off the exercise wagon.

Further research carried out by MoveGB and ukactive shows that individuals who visit multiple venues to exercise are twice as likely to be active six months after joining than those who visit single gym venues. The studies show that exercise is something that we naturally dip in and out of - MoveGB was created to offer people the variety and flexibility they need in order to keep them exercising for longer periods of time, and enjoy healthier, fuller lives.
