We regularly bring you a Sustainable Shopping blog. This month our sustainable theme is sustainable fashion retailers. Sustainable is often viewed as the more expensive choice, but, as we have discussed in prevailing blogs this is not the case. Without going into whether eBay is sustainable or not, there is no doubt that buying second hand clothes is better for the environment. Also, personally, much as I would love to shop sustainable brands all the time, at the moment there isn’t always as much choice. I don’t have the time to visit charity shops, so I often use eBay to shop sustainably for second hand styles. I have been buying and selling on eBay for about 20 years now, so have become a bit of a pro! I will go into this in more detail in a future blog but for now a coupe of tips….

It is really easy to support charities through eBay, just head to the eBay for charity page. You’ll be able to see what is for sale and search for any items you specifically want like 'Nike Air Force 1s' or 'Diesel jeans' or whatever … (some Nike Air Force in pastel shades would sure go well with some shorts this summer …).
Look at Buyers ‘Other Items’ on eBay
See something you like from an eBay seller? Check out their ‘other items’. This is a great way to see what else they are selling, chances are if they are clearing out their wardrobe and you have the same size and style you can combine postage or get a multi-buy discount!
